IAgotchi est une entité à part entière, une nouvelle espèce. Un personnage artificiel qui apprend grâce à la nourriture que nous lui donnons : des mots. Objet artistique dérivé du Tamagotchi, IAgotchi prolonge le questionnement sur l’altérité. Sans vouloir substituer l’autre, quelle altérité, quelle place peut-on donner à cette autre nature qu’est la machine, l’intelligence artificielle ? Quelle relation pouvons-nous créer, non pas d’égal à égal mais de différent à différent, dans l’intégration de la diversité ? Qu’est-ce que l’humain peut encore apprendre de ses créations ? Créé par l’artiste transdisciplinaire Rocio Berenguer, IAgotchi permet le dialogue avec une oeuvre par le biais de l’intelligence artificielle. L’oeuvre favorise l’émergence et l’évolution d’un matériau poétique inédit et utilise des nouvelles stratégies de mise en scène et de dramaturgie interactive.

Artificial intelligence pet
IAgotchi is a fully fledged entity, a new species. An artificial character who learns thanks to the food we give him, i.e. our words. IAgotchi, an artistic spin-off of the Tamagotchi, extends our questioning on otherness. Without wanting to substitute the other, what otherness, which place can we give to this other nature that is the machine, artificial intelligence? What kind of relationship can we build, not in terms as equals but of opposites, in the integration of diversity? What can humans still learn from their creations? Created by the cross-disciplinary artist, Rocio Berenguer, IAgotchi allows for dialogue with a work of art by means of artificial intelligence. This work encourages the emergence and development of unprecedented poetic material and uses new staging and interactive dramaturgy strategies.
